After the trial series where I tested 26 different foundations, I have picked top 5 suitable for my skin, which is normal/combination with a neutral undertone. I have to preface that I like natural finish (not matte or overly glowing) with a buildable medium coverage. The criteria used for selecting these are: Does it apply smoothly? Does it crease? Does it look natural? Does it move? Is it long wear? Does it smell? Is it buildable? Does it oxidize/change color? Does it create texture?
And the winners are:
1. La Prairie Cushion (still unbeatable in quality and unfortunately price as well as it is $200)
2. Chanel Ultra Le Teint
3. L’Oréal Paris Infallible Freshwear
4. Estée Lauder Double Wear
5. Armani Silk
If I had to pick a 6th, I would go with the Beautyblender.
I wore the Estée Lauder yesterday when I was facing a very busy day in an all day meeting which had an indoor and outdoor setting and it survived 14 hours.
